The Sri Lanka Pharmaceutical Manufacturers’ Association (SLPMA) celebrated 61 years of excellence at Cinnamon Lakeside on July 25,2024, with Dr. Ramesh Pathirana, Hon. Minister of Health and Minister of Industries, serving as the Chief Guest. A key highlight of the event was the impressive growth witnessed in Sri Lanka’s pharmaceutical manufacturing industry over the past decade. During the event, the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Sri Jayawardhanapura and the University of Ruhunu signed Expressions of Interest (EOIs) with SLPMA to collaborate on Research and Development aimed at developing new medicines within the country, utilizing homegrown talents.
